My BIRCH box

Hey everyone.

I know it’s kinda late to share my birch box.. But unfortunately I’ve been so upset because of  delivery company they chose to sent parcels….. In the middle of the month I received that it’s been delivered into safe place. Alright,  I’ve checked all possibilities and nothing. Well,  I’ve  contacted and asked where is that safe place. And delivery company decided that behind bin is that place! Uffff really? No knocking on the door, no info leaflet….. Just a nightmare! Anyway, birch box sent me another parcel. That’s the short story of why I’m so late with my blog. 

I was so excited to get it. Trust me. That’s my first experience to buy anything without knowing what I’m going to get. And I was pretty  surprised 😉 

Let me start with Seche VITE 🙂 I has opportunities to try it some time before. So I knew what goodie I’ve received 🙂 nail polish stays much longer with this  top coat. If you gonna do design or like ombre nails, after applying top coat it just brings everything together, looks more vibrant. The best thing is – drying so quickly. You don’t have to wait hours for your nail polish to get done before you heading to bed 😉 so only one thing when you applying it has to be done quite quickly.

James Read gradual tan was first thing I’ve tried before I went to sleep after receiving my box. And I’m really happy, next morning I had nice light tan over my face. Not orange or uneven brown stripes. Really nice look. I will definitely going to be using it.

Obviously Hoola miniature 🙂 probably the most exciting stuff.  Probably don’t need to say much about this, because it’s gorgeous, matte bronzer, good for contour or just for sun kissed look. Thumbs up for this one!

Percy & Reed no oil OIL. First of all it smells divine! I do like hair  products which smells good. Because with that smell I have to be really long time. My hair is a bit wavy, so most of the time I’m straightening. I haven’t noticed much volume, but it’s definitely nice to use as an hair oil.

Birch box brush cleaner will be one of handy tools for my brush cleaning 🙂

And last but not least complimentary 🙂 Cargo cosmetics sunset beach blush. I absolutely love it. It can work as blush or bronzer. Nice healthy looking glow. Definitely worth trying.

So overall I’m very happy with my November box. Nice things to try and maybe consider to buy actual size product.

Must have

Hey everyone. Nice that you stopped by.

Today I’m sharing with you my MUST HAVE for long lasting make-up. To be honest I fall in love with NYX companies products. They are really affordable with lovely quality. 

Personally I do have combination skin type so I need that products, specially base, will work for both areas. I do have larger pores (never noticed that in my young hood, but now they are visible).

So I was looking for a good primer and I came across NYX Angel veil. It is very velvety, oil free primer. Feels very light and moisture after. I do my make-up every day, but days when I need it to be really nice and long wearable is days when I do work! It MUST BE cute all day. So I’ve been using it for quite a while and I can say that it last without no problems! My make-up did not move at all. Very happy with that. If you wish to purchase it it’s £13 and you can get it online or drugstore. 

Second  absolutely amazing product – pore filler. If you do have larger pores or uneven skin that’s number one product. As I mentioned it earlier I do need to cover my pore for flawless look. So it’s absolutely doing this job.  It helps your  make-up last longer too. It is named filler, but it does not mean that you pores or uneven skin will be clogged. It makes appearance look more smooth until night when you wash off your face. This one priced £11 and it is absolutely my recommendation.

New colour

Hey everyone.

I have been a bit busy last week, because on Monday I am starting my new job. Yayyyy 😂😁 after two years of maternity that’s a huge change and challenge. I’ve been doing some paperwork, training, getting knowledge about the store. I had to prepare and I went to look for clothes, comfy shoes. So it was quite busy. 

In all this running around  I have decided to refresh a little bit and I’ve changed my hair colour 😉😉 and I’m absolutely in love with my look now. 

Hair colour actually is the easiest way to get away from bad mood, and quick path for new look and style. Personally because I was studying hairdressing, as we joke that hairdresser or stylist have “illness” to change. So yeah, I had a lot of different from black to blond, from burgundy to peachy…. So because I’ve been almost a year a blond girl, this time I add more colour and have purple roots 😁

The very next day I went to drugstore for some usual stuff and I received compliments from ladies. I was so happy.

Go forward

Hey everyone,
Hope all of you doing well. Glad you stopped by to check what’s new here.
“Positive” now days very common word, and because everyone using it almost on daily basis, seems it is very easy to do or think. But is it really?
If we would really know how powerful our thoughts are we would never think negatively again. You would ask me why? Very simple example – when ship is in the water there is no problems to reach a destination, but just stop for a second a think what happens to a ship when water goes inside…… mostly this ship not going nowhere.   This is exactly what happens when we let outside negative thoughts to reach our mind . It complete destroying our inner peace, harmony which been beautifully created by the nature.

What exactly I want to say by giving you this simple example is – that to keep positive mind in this world YOU have to work on it. Yes, because none of the castle protected themselves from outsiders without a great walls around.  And it’s not easy task to be happy from inside when this world sees outside first.

Somebody said: ” If you didn’t move today one step forward, it means you gone back three steps” . I’ve heard it when I was a child, and it really motivates me to do something, learn, or be eager for things which helps to improve myself in many ways.
So here it is few tips how to keep yourself going:

• Learn something new every day
  It doesn’t matter you like reading book, learning new language or try some kind of activities, but be eager for something new. That helps you to keep a joy in your life, and changes routine which all of us have.
• Exercise!
  Walk a dog, ride a bike, go to gym or even call your friend to keep company walking in the park. Enough just 30 minutes a day and that activity will help you stay positive, because you done it for your own benefit.
  
• Be grateful
   At the end of everyday stop for a few minutes and think what good happened to you today. In the beginning you may write it down on a paper that it would be easy for you to remember. You might find two or three things which made you feel  proud of yourself, or keep going through hard day. Later you will find many more 🙂
• Help others
  It can be absolutely small things, and very simple like smile to person with who you got an eye contact when you was crossing the road, or maybe just simply say a compliment to someone. It doesn’t cost anything, but once you do it look at the persons face and see how sparkle comes to his/hers eyes. Maybe you will be the one who will make their day!

Life is full of tiny miracles , just notice them !

Heal yourself

Hey everyone.

When fall and winter seasons come to us, most of the time people find themselves more moody, depressed or low in energy. And most of us trying different ways to get over it.

Personally I am emotional eater. That’s why I found myself gaining more weight during the cold season, because I eat food which comforts me, most of the time it’s sweet tooth asking me something sweet 😀

I want to share with you some facts, scientifically proved, which helps people to be more active, overcome depression, feel more happier. 

Music is vocal or instrumental sound combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony and expression of emotion.

• Music makes you happier. 

Research proves, when you listen music you like, brain releases dopamine, “feeling good” neurotransmitter. So whenever we feel like something is wrong and need to boost ourselves just turn a volume up and enjoy your favorite music.

• Music has healing power and reduces stress

Listening your favourite music helps to calm down, because it decreases stress hormone cortisol. Probably that’s not a new to you, that 60% of all our diseases and illnesses cause stress. So next time you need to calm down or just keep yourself together, turn radio on, sing along, dance. It’s really good stress release. I found that for myself amazing therapy is to drive a car with favourite music and sing my all stress. Awww I wish I could do it more often. 

• Music helps to improve your sleep

Listening music helps to sleep better, because we turn away our minds from our daily routine, some problems which causing stress to us. Specially classic music, or meditational / instrumental music is like a food to our soul. Try to listen music 15 min before you sleep and you will see the benefits. 

• Music helps to reduce depression 

People who listen meditation or classic music showed significant improvements on their depression or feeling low, while listening techno  or heavy music brings people more down. So whenever you feel low just play cheerful music and try to avoid the heavy one. 

There is a number of various other impacts on our mood and health which  music can provide. Try some of these if you see that you feeling down. Because music is the only thing left when anything else seems lost.

Pumpkin cake

Hey everyone 🙂

I wasn’t blogging for a few days, but it seems I was away for ages 🙈 

I missed sharing things with you. So here it is – lovely pumpkin  cake which been made by me from scratch for this Halloween party 🙂

Pumpkin definitely  is fall and winter seasons vegetable. And you can put it in almost all dishes starting from pancakes to stew and it will add really nice colour to any of your meal. I really like cinnamon, so in this cake cinnamon became dominant colour. If you use less of it you will get more yellowish colour. 

Absolutely lovely 🙂 I didn’t expect that many compliments! 

It is pretty easy to make and lovely, moist texture. You need just few ingredients and to hands to make it. 

Ingredients :

4 eggs

500g pumpkin (grated)

1 cup oil

2 cups sugar

2-2,5 cup of flour

Pinch of salt 

2,5 tsp baking powder

Cinnamon according taste 

Optional :

Nuts, nutmeg powder or clove powder 

In a big bowl you mix eggs, sugar, pumpkin, salt, oil and beat until its even. In another bowl mix flour, and all spices with baking powder. Slowly place it in pumpkin mix and stir it well. When it’s done put in ungreasede cooking tray, oven on gas 6, for 25-30 min. 

Trust me all home smells like a Christmas when you cooking it 🙂 makes you feel cozy 🙂 

You can always check cake with a wooden toothpick is it cooked well by placing it in the middle of the cake and when you take it out you don’t see dough – it’s done! 

You can decorate it according your occasion. This time it was for Halloween but I really considering to do it on Christmas eve by putting more fruits like a sultanas or apricot for more richer taste and flavour.

Story behind

Hey everyone. Hope you are all well.

Wherever you will turn at this time of the year everyone preparing for the spooky night and celebration. Some of us celebrate because it’s a tradition, or because of the fun with friends and family. 

Well, I want to share just few nice facts I found quite interesting. 

On 31 St of October in many countries it is “All Saints day”. The origin of festival reaches both Christian and pagan practices. Celtic pagan around this time was celebrating the ‘end of harvest season’.

People believed that there is a time when walls between our world and next one become very thin, allowing spirits and souls who haven’t reached heaven yet to come back and damage their crops.

Dressing up  became most popular in Victorian  ages, when costumes became more adventurous. People dressed up as dead souls and impersonating spirits were understood as protecting themselves.

Tradition to carve pumpkins originates Samhain  festival to protect souls settling at home. After World War Two Halloween spread so quickly because of ‘trick or treat’  was safe place for children to roam free.

Whether you are going to celebrate spooky Halloween  or just going to have cozy evening with your beloved ones I’m going to wish you all Happy Halloween. There is a few my ideas for make-up. On actual day I will prepare family and myself,  so I hope to share with you all our looks 🙂

All this box £15 . If you will buy just lip cream it is £6. So buying separately isn’t great idea. I have seen 11 different cities with absolutely gorgeous colours in it. If you looking for a gift idea or just sometimes you want to just cheer yourself up that’s exactly what you looking for 🙂

Journey of sound

Hey everyone. Welcome back to my blog.

Today I really really want to share with you my very recent experience! I have tried something for the very first time in my life and I really like it. 

If I would say to you MUSIC. Probably you will laugh at me. But I’ve tried SOUND BATH.  That’s absolutely amazing! If I need to explain what I have experienced I would describe it as ‘ journey of sound’.

I have visited Buddhist centre, where this sound bath was held. Very peaceful and quite place. Once I’ve entered I felt some kind of respectful feeling. 

There was around 10 people, we all comfortably lie down on the floor, closed our eyes and just relaxed body & mind.

Various of instruments : crystal bowls, metal bowls, different gongs, wind chimes and several other. Each one of them plays and that vibration crosses your body. You can feel it starts right in your belly and climbs to upper body and leaves you through your arms. Other sound starts on your legs and goes right to the toes. Most amazing was to feel a gong vibration going through my blanket which we put on ourselves not to get cold. Ohhhhh I can’t make you feel it, need to experience it! Overall it was smooth and joyful sounds, not too harsh and scary,  but soft enough to relax and sometimes even feel yourself not in here not in this place. 

Once you close your eyes different images comes to your mind. Everyone feels it and goes through this journey differently. Somehow I started my journey in a desert. Very hot and hilly area. It was sunny and I was looking for a way to move forward. Suddenly I entered in to the tropical forest. Very green and full of water. I was so thirsty that I started collecting water drops in a wooden bowl. Once I drink water I felt like a fairy dust falling on me. Then sudden silent. For a minute or more… I don’t know the time. Just somewhere I hear a bell calling to ‘came back home’…. Last call to come back from the place you were and a voice advising to take it slowly and start moving your body, take a few deep breath…

All this process was an hour long. But believe me I felt like it was 7 minutes. Definitely worth to repeat again and again.

I spoke with one lady who attends it regularly. She said ‘I am completely addicted to this’, and I understand this feeling. Because at home it’s not possible to switch yourself off from this world like this way. We are so much physical nowadays that we need to learn how to connect to yourself, mindfully, relax and control who or what wants to reach our deeper ‘I’ 

 I am sure wherever  you live you can find this kind of place and take a journey of sound.

Colour Obsession

Hey everyone, hope you are doing well today.

I’ve been preparing my post for one of the most loved range lip colours. 

I’m girly, and make up is one of daily routines. As I said about myself before I like deep & bright colours. So let me tell you my story of this obsession.

One of my friends once asked me : “I’ve never seen you wearing nude lipstic” (lol, it’s because I like red and pink) and she said let’s try once. When she showed me nude and matte I was like : ‘nope that’s not my cup of tea’. It was just because in the past I had tried the wrong matte lipstic, which made me feel weird and very dry, after few hours lips was flaky. Well but I did try this one NYX soft matte lip cream.

Ohhhhh I adore it since then.

Creamy, lightweight and easy to wear. Takes a bit while it settles down to matte finish.  Deep in colour (even it is nude) 🙂 I can’t get enough of them.

I even realised that I’m wearing more nude colours than my usual bright and red 😀

So I do own few of them and that’s not end of it 😀

First Copenhagen – wamp red ; Rome – mid nude ; Amsterdam – oh my red 🙂 ; Prague – cranberry ; Stockholm – favourite nude so far, has peachy tone. 

Affordable price, good quality and really nice wear feeling.
